FROM LUKE WILLSON (Class of 2004)
10 February 2014
I'm glad to be part of the AISAES Alumni Network on Facebook. I visited AES (as it was known in my days) in January for the first time in 10 years, which was very cool. Lots of recognizable faces and pockets of campus that haven't changed. In many ways it feels very different from when I went there; but it seems like the vibe is still very much the same, which is what we all liked about it, I think.
I'm attaching some photos to this email. Feel free to put them on the website or Facebook.
The first is Mr. Ahluwalia, the head of the cafeteria. Such a nice guy, and after tasting some of the food I can say that it has definitely improved - although it was always pretty good.
The second is Haridas, Bablu, Ram, and Pamodh, who were regular members of Reach Out. Apart from Haridas, they have all gone on to work at AES. It was great to meet up with them and hear how Reach Out made a difference in their lives.
The third is Tony Quattros, the music assistant, who's been at AES for over 20 years. He's almost 75 years old and still going strong, tucked away in a practice room under the theater.
The fourth is Joel and Anja Palumbo. They've been the art teachers at AES for almost 17 years now.
Anyhow, I'd appreciate it if you put these photos up somewhere. I think there's a lot of alumni who would recognize these people.
