Dear AES Alumni living in New York,
Greetings from AES!
I am the new School Director. These past few months I have been learning about the school, its culture and also about Delhi and India. Two defining characteristics of the AES community that I've learned in my brief time here are, first, it is a very welcoming community.
Truly, it can be daunting to move
to a new country and culture; but the AES community welcomes and supports newcomers like few other international schools in the world. Secondly, the commitment of our teachers and parents to contributing to making AES an outstanding institution, where students and professionals alike can learn and thrive. It is a privilege to be a member of this warm community.
This year, AES is celebrating 65 years of holistic education. A variety of activities and celebrations are planned for the week of February 12–17, culminating in a community luncheon on Saturday, February 17.
I am currently in the U.S. recruiting teachers for SY 2018-19. Taking this opportunity while I am in New York, together with Akash Shah, 2002 AES Alum and Savi Bharathram, former AES Board Member, we are planning to have an AES get together in New York. Attached above is the formal invite.
We look forward to meeting you at this gathering in New York on Friday, February 9 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Paowalla, 195 Spring St., New York. Phone: 212-235-1098. Kindly RSVP on this link.
Cheers and Best Wishes,
