NEW CLASS SECRETARY
posted 18 November 2018

Kabir Sethi (AES Class of 2020) has been attending AES since Elementary School and is currently a junior in high school. He is a passionate musician and debater, serving as the President of the AES Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Head Captain of the AES MESAC Debate and Forensics Team. In addition, he is an avid writer and computer science geek who loves taking on challenges. Please help us to welcome Kabir, who volunteered in advance and is eager to serve as the Class Secretary for the AES Class of 2020.

"I have been attending AES since I was very young, so young that I remember the original campus with just the three Stein buildings and the former Gymnasium. As I grew older however, I watched the campus continually change and expand, adapting and evolving to the needs of the modern world. As time passed, I began to miss the open spaces that the campus originally had, alongside the buildings that had been my home for so long. I was afraid that the memories I had of the buildings and greenery would begin to slip with age. In a desperate attempt to keep the memories alive, I made a quick Google search that stated, "American International School, New Delhi, Original Stein Buildings" and this image popped up.

In true dramatic Indian fashion, tears began to well in my eyes, for this was the campus I cherished in my memories. I clicked on the link to the website that hosted this photo, and I was re-directed to the AISAES Alumni Association website. Naturally, I was shocked, for I had never heard of such a website in all my years at AES. As I brows-
ed the website however, I saw photo upon photo of the campus I yearned to see again. Flipping through each of those images reminded me of my time in Elementary School before the first renovations began. I also learned from this website that there is an alumni class secretaries organization. I wanted to express my gratitude to the association for all of those photos, for they were a treasure trove beyond proportions; as such, I decided to serve as Class Secretary for the AES Class of 2020."
