Diana Ulry Ivory Class of 1966
Wow, Indeed! I have lived long enough to no longer believe in coincidence. I am helping my Dad, age 87, write his autobiography for my daughter, and we are sooo stuck in the reminisce stages of India that we can't seem to move forward. By chance, I decided to see if there was anything in cyberspace....and through your website I contacted Doug Haney! He, his sister Lissa and I were the three musketeers! And I heard back from him....oh the memories!
I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1970 with a BS in Elementary Education, having done the hippie thing and all; got married to Jim Ivory, slid nicely into yuppiedom; traveled the corporate ladder with him; got my MS in Early Childhood Education from Western Illinois University in 1977; a son, Christopher James born 6 July 1977 in Macomb Illinois, a daughter, Victoria Leigh born 12 June 1979 in Houston Texas; continued to relocate via the corporate ladder, Accounting/Finance/Treasury in various corporations throughout the South/MidWest, as I continued working in the field of Early Childhood/Elementary Education (specifically teaching Kindergarten). Last year, we relocated to Columbus, Ohio, to be closer to my father; and I have traded in the Early Childhood "Terrific Two's" for the "Delightfully Demented," having achieved a degree as "Activities Director for Long Term Care Facilities." I am currently working with 15 adult Alzheimer residents and just love it.
I would love to have an update of my fellow classmates from the "Class of 1966," as well as ones from 1965 and 1964. At that time AIS was quite small, and we all knew each other well.
